Welcome to the first week of the $150 NSL Open! We were super excited to be able to bring you content outside of clan wars and Platinum/Diamond tournaments (not that we mind, but a change of pace is always good!). We put out an invitation for high level players to earn a chance at $150 prize pool, and they certainly showed up in force. 107 people signed up, with about 50 turning out and checking in (solid numbers so thanks for participating everyone!). We started off with Zanster vs IndyStarcraft and it really helped set the tone for what would be Zanster's deep tournament run. Some players we've seen before in Clan Wars showed up like Annihilator, Rhizer, and Nightmare so it was great to see some returning faces and plenty of new ones. As the bracket progressed it was shaping up to be Kas vs Zanster in the finals. Both players had made DEEP tournament runs barely dropping maps (only a few random ones), so when they met in the finals we knew it was going to be good. At the end of the day Zansters macro was just a bit too much for Kas, as Zanster busted out a plethora of builds and really dictated the pace of the series. Congrats to Zanster and Kas for making the finals, and to our third and fourth place players as well (Hellraiser/SlayerSBoner). We were so glad we could help dish out some of our donations back into the community and we look forward to doing this event again in the future! Thanks guys!

Two beast clans (PSISTORM and eSloth) fought their way to the finals of our Super Clan War, where they met to fight it out for the remaining $50. Both clans had already won $50 in their previous weeks, but this was a chance to double the money so a lot was on the line. The clans did not disappoint sending out awesome high level players, with Sirtiva and GIGGLEBEAR casting the event. When all was said and done though PSISTORM took the win off the back of jheffe's early 2-0 start and then JonSnow coming in to finish off the win! Pokebunny did come out to stop the All-Kill from eSloth so a huge shoutout to him as well. Thanks again to both of these clans, the players, and all the viewers for making this possible. We were able to fund the whole thing with your donations so it's nice to see that directly going back to the players and organizations. See you guys soon!

Sirtiva/GIGGLEBEAR were your casters heading into Week #15 of The Nydus NSL. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) we started off this tournament with 3 back-to-back mirror matchups, two ZvZ's and one TvT ... but the games truly did not disappoint as we had plenty of action and back and forth to go around. The viewers came out in force making Twitch Chat a pleasant and engaging place to be (did I really just say that?), and we can't thank you guys enough for your support. Luneth and ZesTea were your showmatch for the night and both being returning Nydus players we were expecting a beast-mode ZvP, however Luneth showed up GodMode and 3-0'd the series. Apparently this was to roll over to our finals with JakeTheDog 3-0'ing Shyrshadi as well, though after the series Shyrshadi commented on saying how he was happy to make his first finals. Such a good guy. Congrats again to JakeTheDog and Luneth on your wins in the 15th NSL Tournament!

Kicking off another weekend with some Starcraft 2 action, this event was organized by the awesome dudes over at Chobo Team League, make sure to check them out if you have not already! With that said, plenty of action was to be shown in a Bo7 series that went to 7 games (always our favorite). Noteable performances by ConFed's Ice as he took out 3 players to help his team to a 3-1 lead. Vedeynevin came out and put all stop to all that tom-foolery though as he brought the series to an even 3-3. Out comes oMFgImBa for ConFed in his first Nydus performance though, to carry his team to victory. Huge shoutout to both clans, FxB and ConFed, TechFour, Chobo Team League, and all the players for making this event possible! You guys are awesome!

We were lucky enough that both these clans found themselves needing to play an additional clan war for DuSt league. So with permission from DuSt, Sirtiva/GIGGLEBEAR were able to cast a back-to-back series between iGx and eSloth. eSloth was just coming off of their win in the Nydus Clan War and we were expecting to see some of the same players, however mostly new faces came out with Creature and Groovyman leading the charge. Creature came out strong with 2 insta-Dark Templar wins, but eventually Nightmare shut it down. BioIce was next up and he was able to help his team to victory securing the second win of the day for eSloth. Once again thanks SO much to these clans, the players, and all the viewers for participating and letting us cast this event, and a special thanks to DuSt Gaming for allowing us the privilege to share in their clan event.
